John Flood is CLM's expert on EMC regulations and implementation.

John's particular speciality is in laboratory assessments for EMC and safety and he has conducted well over 200 assessments across Europe, Asia and North America. He is a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) trained laboratory assessor and performs assessment services for NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) in the US.

Much of John’s private sector work has been in the medical sector with organisations such as GE Healthcare and Abbott Laboratories. He has also had extensive experience in the US manufacturing sector with Intel, Honeywell and GE. He has been retained to work on technical audits, lab assessments, quality systems and CE marking amongst other disciplines.

Compliance has become a key aspect of the work John is asked to do. His view is that;

"Compliance with regulation has become a key competitive issue for companies across the manufacture and engineering spectrum. Globalisation has put pressure on companies to review , maintain and improve the safety, quality and operational performance of their products and services: wherever their operations are.”

John is active in the on-going development of regulatory standards. He is a member of the BSI committee for basic EMC standard, the UK representative on IEC Working Group 10 of SC77b, a UK delegate to IEC TC77 and has participated in projects for NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) and the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the US.

John can provide both training and consultancy services in the areas described above. Call or email us now to find out how John Flood can help your organisation.
